The Raft race competition is starting to heat up. At this point there are 6 rafts in the race. With two weeks to go, it's not too late to build a homemade raft and join the fun
OVUUSD SEEKS SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS - The Otter Valley Unified Union School Board is looking for interested parties to be appointed to the Whiting and At-Large representative seats on the board. The appointed school board member for the Whiting seat must be a resident of Whiting. The appointed individual for the At-Large seat may be a resident of any OVUUSD town, including Brandon, Leicester, Goshen, Pittsford, Sudbury and Whiting. Appointed school board members would serve through to the next election in March 2025, at which time they would be required to run and be elected to complete the remaining year of the term. Letters of Interest should be addressed to the OVUU Board and emailed to Melinda Piper at mpiper@rnesu.org. On April 25th Librarians from Neshobe, Barstow, Lothrop, and Otter Valley hosted the annual Golden Dome event at Otter Valley for students who read a selection of this years books. This year included a virtual visit from Gillian McDunn, author of "Honestly Elliott" and a round of Golden Dome book trivia. All attending students also chose a book to take home. It was a wonderful celebration of literature!
